: BLANC-TAILLEUR Christophe

: 11/28/1972

: Moûtiers, Savoie (73) France

: what's this ?

: bass

: he began the bass guitar at 17 in spite of total incredulity from his family (“ you would better learn guitar”… no comment).

8 years of self-taught work followed by 3 years in “Electric Bass School” of Grenoble where Laurent Berlioz-Latour courses completely changed his musical culture (in particular by the study of jazz, classical, reading and harmony). Bass players, these courses are worth trying!

At the same time he played in several bands from 3 to 17 musicians (17 = unmanageable…) : funk, rock, reggae, pop orchestra, big band,… and from 30 to 40 concerts per year.

He released a disc in 2004 in a band with jazz influences called Low Pass Filter. There were a pianist, a drummer and 2 bass players (yes, it is possible) + lots of guests. Obviously it was a commercial failure… but I did not say my last word…

Since a few years, he's begun to work on music through computer and discovered the revolution (but finally the true revolution would be that it stops crashing… PCs like Macs!)

: Rammstein, Queensrÿche, Paradise Lost, Metallica, Dream Theater, Steve Vai, Pascal Mulot, Marcus Miller, Craig Armstrong, etc...
